- You can use any 72-pin SIMMs that are 80ns or faster. Most people use
- standard 1x32 type SIMMs, but you can also drop 1x36 SIMMs (PARITY)
- in, and the A4000 will just ignore the extra bits used for Parity.

-
- If you plan to use 60ns memory, you be interested in a little hack
- that the Ramsey can do called 'Skip Mode'. From what I have gatherd,
- it cuts the number of CPU cycles needed to do a Mem fetch by 1. It
- speeds your system up by about 10%-%20 over a stock A4000/030.
-
- This hack has a few downsides - some programs will crash with it
- running (GrapeVine, ShapeShifter, DaFTP, some games). Also, it will
- not work if you are using the 4th FAST SIMM socket (16MB o FAST on
- MB). It will only work with 030 based A4000's - it doesn't work with
- the 3640.
-
- The program that turns it on/off is called 'SpeedRamsey', and it can
- be found in the Aminet in the hard/misc directory. (SpeedRamsey12a.lha).
-
- (A while back I had my 030 overclocked to 30MHz and my mem in
- SkipMode, and AIBB told me that my Amiga was faster than a 030/33.
- Not bad for spending an extra $20 to get 60ns SIMMs and $6 for a 60MHz
- crystal)
